Unified Terms of Service

The following Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your access to and use of the TrueNorth Therapy platform (the "Platform"), including any mobile applications, websites, and affiliated properties, whether you are a client receiving mental health services or a provider delivering them. This Platform is owned and operated by TrueNorth Therapy, headquartered in [Insert Address], USA (contact@truenorththerapyusa.com).
By accessing or using the Platform, you are entering into this legally binding Agreement. Please read it carefully before proceeding. If you do not agree to any of its terms, you may not access or use the Platform.
1. The Platform and Services
TrueNorth Therapy is a technology company that facilitates connections between clients and independently licensed providers of mental health services. We do not directly provide medical care, therapy, or diagnosis.
The Platform is not for emergency or crisis use. If you are in crisis, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. TrueNorth Therapy does not monitor user activity in real time.
2. Eligibility
Clients of all ages are welcome on the Platform. If the client is under the age of 18 or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, they must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to receive services. The consenting parent or guardian affirms that they have legal authority to consent and are not required to consult with another guardian. 3. Therapist Services
Therapists are independent contractors. They are not employees or agents of TrueNorth Therapy. Each therapist is responsible for the quality and legality of the services they provide. We vet all providers for licensure and experience; however, we do not control clinical decisions. Clients may switch therapists if needed.
4. Privacy and Data
Your personal information and Protected Health Information (PHI) are protected under HIPAA and our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you also agree to the Privacy Policy. For full details, visit [Insert Privacy Policy URL].
5. Risks and Limitations
Teletherapy has limitations. It may not be appropriate for all conditions. It is not a substitute for in-person treatment for serious psychiatric issues or medical emergencies. The Platform is not suitable for court-ordered therapy, documentation requests, or prescription recommendations.
6. Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds
For Clients: Payment is required at booking. You may cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your session to avoid fees. No-shows or late cancellations may result in forfeiture of the session fee. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days and are subject to review.
For Providers: Payouts are based on the agreed platform fee structure. Providers are responsible for their own taxes and licensure compliance.
7. Conduct and Use Restrictions
Users may not engage in harassment, fraud, or unlawful behavior. Providers must adhere to professional standards and maintain active licensure. You agree not to share platform credentials or misuse client/provider information.
8. Non-Solicitation (Providers Only)
For 12 months after your relationship with TrueNorth Therapy ends, you may not solicit or serve clients you met via the Platform outside of TrueNorth. Violations may result in legal action.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including logos, software, and designs, is owned by TrueNorth Therapy or its licensors. You may not use our intellectual property without express written permission.
10. Third-Party Content
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. TrueNorth Therapy is not responsible for their content, practices, or terms.
11. Technology and Access
You are responsible for having a reliable internet connection and compatible device. While we strive to maintain uninterrupted service, we do not guarantee the Platform will always be available or error-free.
12. Limitation of Liability
TrueNorth Therapy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid or received through the Platform in the prior 12 months.
13. Arbitration Agreement
All disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), governed by the Federal Arbitration Act. No party may bring claims as a class action. Arbitration will take place in Wilmington, Delaware, unless otherwise agreed.
You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days by emailing optout@truenorththerapyusa.com.
14. Subscription and Session Policy
Subscriptions, if applicable, renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. Missed or unused sessions do not carry over. Session credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. We may adjust pricing with prior notice.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update this Agreement at any time. The updated Terms will be posted on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform indicates your acceptance of the revised Agreement.
